Saucier

Lewis Harvey passed and went to his Heavenly home on May 31, 2024. He was born on November 5, 1944 to the late Henry Lewis Harvey and Lois Eugene Loften.

Lewis Edward Harvey, known affectionately as Baby, Edward, or Louie, was born and raised in the heart of Biloxi, MS. Lewis crafted a life of love, hard work, and family. He embarked on his journey through life alongside his beloved first wife, Nancy Jean Harvey. Together, they built a legacy of warmth and affection, raising four beautiful daughters. After the loss of Nancy, fate intervened, bringing Alice into Lewis's life. Another chapter unfolded as he embraced Alice, a woman of equal love and care. With Alice came an extended family, welcoming another daughter and son into his heart. Lewis, a man of many talents, devoted himself to his family and his craft. As a carpenter by trade, he wielded his skills with precision and passion. Yet, he transcended mere labels, embodying the roles of architect, plumber, mechanic, and chef with ease. His hands built not just structures but also memories, shaping the lives of those around him. Family was Lewis's cornerstone. He found joy in simple pleasures, from camping trips with his daughters in their youth to sharing tales with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His guitar strummed melodies of love, his laughter echoed through generations, and his heart overflowed with affection for his wife, children, and extended family. Lewis's zest for life extended beyond his workbench. He found solace in the roar of motorcycles, the nostalgia of old western films, antique cars, and the savory delights of crawfish feasts. His two loyal companions, Sampson and Goliath, stood faithfully by his side, mirroring his unwavering loyalty and love. To those who knew him, Lewis was more than a friend; he was a beacon of light, a source of laughter, and a wellspring of kindness. His magnetic personality drew strangers into his orbit, leaving an indelible mark on all he encountered. Lewis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories. He was a devoted husband, a cherished father, a doting grandfather, a beloved brother, and a loyal friend. Lewis is a member of Poplar Head Methodist Church and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with his wife Alice. Lewis’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. And may his memory continue to brighten the lives of those he touched.
