Mr. Leonard Graylon Lizana

June 7, 1956 — July 26, 2018

Leonard Graylon Lizana, 62 of Pass Christian, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2018 after a good fight battling cancer. Growing up in the country as one of 10 kids provided him the opportunity to fully appreciate God, nature, and family. He is a graduate of Pass Christian High School, and later attended MGCCC for horticulture and landscaping pursuing his love of nature. Leonard's first love was God. He loved reading the Bible, singing gospel music, and took the Lord with him everywhere he went. He never met a stranger, and if you had the time, he would tell you about the love of God. It was this love that gave him the will to fight. In the end, with his daughter and family by his side, God held out his hand and welcomed him home. Leonard's second love was nature and art. He was an avid gardener who created true masterpieces with nature. He was also an amazing artist who loved painting and building art work. Along with other mediums, he mastered the art of spray-paint canvases, and spent years creating a fleet of boats from match sticks. His works of art are truly magnificent, one of a kind pieces, which adorn homes and business across the entire southeast. He will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all the lives he touched. Leonard is preceded by his parents, Hays and Christine Lizana; a nephew, Jeff Martin, and great-nephew, Lance Norton, Jr. He is survived by his son, Chad Lizana, and daughter Barbara (Sam) Morgan, both of Gulfport; brothers: Doug (Deborah) Lizana of Saucier, Ricky Lizana of Denham Springs, LA, Harold "Peanut" (Judy) Lizana of Gulfport, David (Jan) Lizana of Carriere, and Glen Lizana of Biloxi; sisters: Linda Norton of Pulaski, TN; Shirley McGee of Dayton, TN; Diane (Joe) Trejo of Biloxi, Karen Lee of Gulfport, Tina (David) Dauro of Leesburg, GA, and Henrietta (Bay) Ladner of Gulfport; five (5) grandchildren; two (2) great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. A memorial service celebrating Leonard's life will be held at First Baptist Church of Delisle, 25305 Cuevas Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00pm. It was Leonard's wish, in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS 39213 or St. Jude's Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Lizana family, and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
