Mr. Leonard Roy Davis

Mr. Leonard Roy Davis, 53 of Saucier, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 18, 2016 in Gulfport. Roy was born February 24, 1963 in Gulfport, MS to Ed Davis and Virginia Lott. He found his niche in life as the consummate handyman, owning and operating his own business, Davis Remodeling, LLC. Roy had many clients all over South MS, all of whom depended on him for many things around their homes and property. In his spare time, what little he had, Roy enjoyed working in the yard, raising his chickens, and spoiling his grandchildren, who he loved dearly. He will be remembered as a person who never met a stranger, and was always more than willing to help anybody at any time. Roy was a born-again Christian, and a member of Berean Baptist Church in Wiggins. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sophie Evelyn Davis; his 3 children, Mac Holliman of Tucson, AZ; Edward Roy Davis (Maryanne) of Saucier, MS; and Emili Ann Davis, also of Saucier. He has 7 siblings, including a fraternal twin brother, Troy Davis of Moss Point, and a sister, Regina Waller (Isaac) of Saucier. He also has 3 grandchildren, Cayden Holliman, Johnathan Davis, and Haileigh Davis, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Roy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lott Brown. A Celebration of Life service has been set for Friday, July 22nd at Berean Baptist Church in Wiggins.
