Lee Marvin Fairley, 57, passed away December 23, 2021 at Memorial Hospital at Stone County in Wiggins, MS. He was born on April 17, 1964, at the family home in Wiggins, the third of four children and son of John Smith and Joanna Fairley. Marvin grew up in the Gum Branch community and was an outgoing, athletic young boy. He and his brother enjoyed baseball and basketball and played as often as possible, through the recreational leagues and schools. He became known to those who knew him best as "Messy", a name which stuck with him through life. Marvin graduated from Stone High with the Class of 1982 and went on to MGCCC where he played basketball. After his academic pursuits ended, Marvin worked for Buford Smith off and on through the years. He is fondly remembered as a loving son, brother, and father to his children. Marvin enjoyed fishing, dancing, and hanging out with his friends. Messy will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his mother, Joanna Fairley Redeemer, and his sister Jenise Clendennon. Left to cherish his memories are: his children: Lee "Lil Marvin" Redeemer, Terrance "Tedo" Redeemer, Garrel Shelby, all of Wiggins, and Brandon "Keto" Swanier of Pass Christian; his loving step-father Maurice Redeemer, his father John Smith, one brother, Tony Fairley, and one sister, Priscilla (Edward) Shelby, all of Wiggins, along with numerous extended family and friends. Marvin's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, with a celebration of his life being planned for later this week. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Fairley family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this trying time.
