Mr. Larry Neil Bodie

Larry Neil Bodie, 53 of McHenry, passed away Thursday morning, August 31st at St. Joseph Hospice in Gulfport. Larry was born April 11, 1964 in Wiggins, MS, the son of Albert Earl and Virgie Bodie. He grew up in the Wiggins area, and attended Stone High School. Larry became a logger by trade, once a very prominent industry here in Stone county. He married Rhonda Loper of McHenry, and they made their home in McHenry. Larry will be sadly missed by all whos' life he touched. He was preceded by his parents, Albert Earl and Virgie Bodie, and one brother, Jake Johnson. Larry is survived by his wife Rhonda; a son, Brandon Bodie of Saucier, and two daughters, Jena Hickman and Destiny Hickman, both of McHenry; his brothers, Royce "BoBo" Bodie of Lucedale, Reece Bodie of Hattiesburg, and Russell (Selena) Bodie of Saucier; a sister-in-law, Robin (Jimmy) Bell of McHenry; seven grandchildren, and numerous exyended family and friends. Larry had struggled with a debilitating medical issue for several months, and is now at rest. His wishes were to be cremated, which his family is following. A memorial service will be set at a later time. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bodie family, and asks that you please keep them lifted up in prayer through such a difficult time.
