Kyle Joseph Tanner, 28, of Perkinston, MS., passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2026, at home in Perk. Kyle was born on May 6, 1998, in Biloxi, MS, to his parents, Edward and Donna Tanner. Kyle will be remembered as a sweet and loving son, who had such a huge heart. Growing up, he fell in love with Go-Kart racing, a passion he shared with his late Uncle Boog. Together they shared this thrill for over eight years. Kyle learned the trade of trim carpentry, becoming a master at his art, Kyle loved carpentry work. In his spare time, Kyle enjoyed working on cars and tinkering as a mechanic. Kyle had his fair share of demons that he battled everyday, but deep down he was still that sweet little boy that grew up loving his family and was full of life. Kyle will be immensely missed, and his family rests knowing that he is healed and can finally rest in complete peace. Kyle is preceded in death by his father, Ed Tanner; maternal grandparents, Joan and William "Bugs" Sample; paternal grandparents, Josephine and Hillman Tanner; and two Uncles, Hillman "Buddy" Tanner, and Bryan "Boog" Sample. Left to cherish his sweet soul, his mother Donna Tanner; four siblings, Joe (Melinda) Tanner; Kathy Tanner; Michael (Stacey) Tanner; and Matt (Sherry) Tanner; his Aunts and Uncles, Rhonda (Mike), Tammie (Allen), Brenda (Matt), Stephen (Debbie), Pam (Eddie), Pat, Raymond, Walter (Pam); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, whom all loved Kyle very much. Services for Kyle will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. The family asks that you join them at 11:30 am for a Visitation and Funeral Service at 1:00 pm, honoring Kyle's life. Kyle will be laid to rest next to his father, Ed, at McHenry Gardens Cemetery, directly following his service at Trinity. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Tanner family during this time, and we ask that you remember Ms. Donna in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days ahead.
