Kurt Karl Kreis, 62 of Saucier, passed away at his home Tuesday evening, March 2nd. Kurt was preceded by his parents, Harmon Dexter, Jr. and Betty Jean Kreis, along with one sister, Karen. He is survived by this girlfriend and love of life, Joye Lott; his bonus children, sons Willie and Steve, along with a daughter Catherine, and three sisters, Karol, Kathryn and Kathleen. Kurt was born the third of six children in Dade county, Florida April 19, 1958. Growing up in the Miami area, Kurt loved soccer and football, becoming a standout soccer player in his younger years. He took some carpentry classes in high school and the rest is history, as they say. He loved it, making a career in construction, where he did pretty much anything. From residential houses to commercial buildings, including most anything in between, Karl could build them. In reality, he was a "jack of all trades" so to speak. He did some plumbing, roofing, worked on vehicles and even spent some time making pizzas at MGCCC. In his spare time, Karl enjoyed the water...diving and catching Florida lobster by hand, and water skiing to boot. But his true passion and pastime was shooting pool, or billiards as it's properly known. After meeting Joye, it was a plus that they both enjoyed shooting pool, spending lots of time doing so. Karl made sure he told her multiple times per day that he loved her. He is fondly remembered as a jovial and fun-loving guy that was always willing to help anyone with anything. Friendly and outgoing, Kurt enjoyed hunting and fishing, when he wasn't shooting pool. He will be sadly missed by all whose life he touched. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Kreis family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
