Kevin Todd Meadows, Sr., 47 of Perkinston, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. He was born September 12, 1975 at Wurtsmith AFB, MI, the second of four boys to parents Johnny Lee, Sr. and Teresa Ann (Baker) Meadows. Kevin grew up all over, including time in Europe while his dad served in the USAF, but always considered Florida home. He and his brothers enjoyed being outdoors, fishing at his grandparents camp, and just being boys. The camp was a favorite of theirs, established by his great-grandparents and named "Devil's Elbow", which is still in the family and operating today. Kevin had other interests too, becoming a gun enthusiast and enjoyed working on or tinkering with cars. He attended school in St. Augustine before decided to obtain his GED and get to work. Kevin first went to work in an aluminum factory for a while, then to Northrop Grumman, and wound up at Ingall's as a shipfitter foreman. Definitely not oine to sit idly by, Kevin worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He is remembered as a kind, thoughtful, and generous man. Even his brothers will tell you that he didn't have a mean bone in his body. Kevin had a great sense of humor, and could come up with the most outrageous things to say that would leave you in stitches. He loved his wife and family, doing whatever he could to care for and provide for them. Kevin was the type who was always doing things for others, which is what he did for himself too. He enjoyed cooking and making things from metal using a plasma cutter, like signs, fishing pole racks, and whatever he thought you needed. Kevin would design something to fit your personality, but would take special orders as well. He was very talented and could make pretty much anything. A thoughtful brother, loving husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves us far too soon and will be dearly missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his paternal grandparents, Don and Betty Rodgers, and maternal grandfather, Vernon Dantzler. Left to cherish his memories are: the love of his life and wife of eighteen years, Robbie; their son, Kevin Meadows, II, currently serving in the US Army at Ft. Drum, NY; his mother, Teresa Pacetti of St. Augustine, and his father, Johnny (Ann Marie) Meadows, Sr. Of Ocean Springs; his maternal grandmother, Jean Dantzler of St Augustine, FL; his brothers: Johnny (Kim) Meadows, Brian (Theresa) Meadows, and Dillon Browning, all of St. Augustine, with two step-brothers, Chris Meadows of Pascagoula and Adam Meadows of Ocean Springs. Kevin leaves a legacy of one granddaughter, his "Sweet Pea" Julie Ann whom he adored, along with numerous extended family and friends. His final wishes were to be cremated, which the family is honoring and will hold a celebration of his life at a later date. At some point, his ashes will be scattered at Devil's Elbow to honor his wishes as well. In lieu of floral arrangements, please consider making a donation to help the family offset final expenses. No gift is too small, and all will be greatly appreciated. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Meadows family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
