Mr. Kevin Paul Allen

Mr. Kevin P. Allen, 55 of D'iberville, passed away Thursday afternoon in Biloxi. He was born June 4th, 1963 in New Jersey, the oldest of two sons to James and Jeri Allen. He grew up in the St. Martin area, attending Our Lady of Fatmia and St. Martin schools. Kevin was a bright young man who could do anything he set his mind to. He loved music, participating in the St. Martin band, and he loved to cook. Following school, he became a stock broker for a while, and also attended culinary school. Kevin began reading the stock report for a local radio station, which gave him an entry into broadcast radio while in Arkansas. He so enjoyed that that he changed careers, which brought him back home to the MS Gulf Coast. He worked for Triad Broadcasting, and became widely known as "Kevin Cruz". Kevin was instrumental in many things in broadcast radio, including "Cruz & Chuck", Cruz & Rebecca", and "Cruz in the Morning", as well as the start of an annual event known as "CPR Fest", which continues to this day. Kevin was of the Catholic faith, and will definitely be fondly remembered by many who only knew him as Kevin Cruz, a talented voice from the radio. He will certainly be sadly missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his father, James Edgar Allen, and a niece, Sarah McFadden. Left to cherish his memories are his children: Stephanie Wiley of South Dakota, and Noah Allen of Gulfport; his grandson, Caiden Agic; his loving mother and stepfather, Jeri (Ralph) McBroom; siblings: Mike (Rhonda) Allen of McHenry, Doug (Kathy) McBroom of CO, Grace (David) Douglas and Kristy McBroom, both of Gulfport, and Charlie McBroom of St. Martin; nieces and nephews Amber Saunders, Rachel Mills, Danny McBroom, Doug McBroom, and Grace M. McBroom, with an untold number of friends through the airwaves. The family has set services for Wednesday, Sept. 26th, with visitation from 10:30 until 11:00 AM at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Following a chapel service at 11:00, Kevin will be interred at McHenry Gardens Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Allen family, and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayer over the coming days.
