Kermit Payne Rouse, Jr.

Kermit Rouse, Jr. of Saucier, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2019.  He was 83 years old and a lifelong resident of Saucier.  He leaves behind his wife, Jean, a daughter Cindy (Jimmie) Hahn and a son Billy.  He had four grandchildren, Amy (Wade) Howk, Joshua (Angelle) Hahn, Brittany (Steven) Eaton, and Tiffany (Cary) Haney.  He had seven great grandchildren.  He also leaves two sisters, Alice Hickman, Elaine Breedling, and a brother Tony Rouse, also numerous nieces and nephews.  Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit, Sr. and Velma Rouse and a brother Jimmy Rouse. Kermit was a member of Saucier Holiness Church.  He was an active member of J.L.Power Lodge #416 in Perkinston and member of O.E.S #376 in Perkinston where he served as Grand Chapter Dad.  He was in construction sales and brokerage for his entire career.  He was continuing to work until his illness.  He loved heavy equipment and dirt working machinery.  His service of Christian burial will be Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Saucier Holiness Church, 17959 Bond Road, Saucier.  Visitation will be at 11:00 and the service will be at 1:00.  He will be laid to rest in the Saucier Cemetery with a graveside Masonic Burial.
