Kenneth Joseph Guidry, 53 of Carriere, passed away December 20th at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was born October 03, 1969 in Chalmette, LA, one of two boys to Leroy and Cecilia (Dow) Guidry. Known as Kenny or Ken by those closest to him, he grew up in Chalmette, LA where he enjoyed hanging out with his friends. Kenny attended school in Chalmette before deciding it was time to go to work. He worked a lot on the river, eventually becoming a crane operator. Unfortunately he was sidelined by an injury in 2016, and has been around home since. To relax, Ken enjoyed just hanging around the house with his family, watching re-runs of his favorite shows. Sanford and Son, Perry Mason, and Mr. Ed were among his favorites, but there are so many others that he would always have on, aggravating everyone that wanted to watch more current things. Pair that with a "cold one", and Kenny was happy. He is remembered as a stubborn old goat who was hard-headed and set in his ways, but he loved his wife, his family, and his schnauzer-doodle sidekick, "K". For all that he was, Ken definitely will be sadly missed and never forgotten by those closest to him. He was preceded by his mother, Cecilia Dow. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife, Sharon; their shared children: Kenneth Chauppette, Sr., Shae Guidry, Lacey Guidry, Zackery (Brittni) Spencer, Brittney Free, and Diamond Hammer; his father Leroy Guidry and his brother, Lee Guidry, along with numerous extended family, friends, and neighbors through the years. Kenny's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, with plans to hold a celebration of his life at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Guidry family in their time of need and asks everyone to remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
