Kenneth Allen Edwards

Kenneth Allen Edwards, 60 of Perkinston, passed away at his home May 31st. Born May 3, 1960 in Ventura, CA, he was the oldest of three children of Charles Reese and Janice Ann (Herrin) Edwards. He grew up literally all over the world while his father served in the US Navy Seabees. They were stationed in Gulfport in the mid 1960s, where he attended the Gulf Coast Military Academy until it closed down. Kenny graduated from Long Beach High School, attended Phillips and USM Gulf Park where he obtained his bachelors degree. He worked several years for Compton's Electric, several shipyards and for himself until medical issues forced his retirement. Kenny is remembered as an awesome brother who was caring and always there for his sisters. A loving son that took care of his mother through the years as well. All she had to do was think of what she needed and he was on it. Every Monday like clockwork, he would bring her some candy. A helpful, giving person at heart, he will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his father, Charles Edwards and his step-father, John Rogers. He will be sadly missed by: his mother, Janice Rogers and sister, Korieann Edwards, both of Perkinston, and his sister Kelly Edwards of Long Beach, with several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors through the years. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring.
