Kenneth Russell Collins, Jr. left this world too early on December 22, 2019. He was the oldest of two boys born to Russell and Patricia Collins on September 3, 1973. “Rusty” as his family and friends knew him best as, was a prankster at heart. He genuinely didn’t have a mean bone in his body. Rusty had a one of a kind personality. He will be remembered as having a great sense of humor and being a hustler! The party didn’t start until Rusty showed up, whatever time that may be. A photo of him not smiling does not exist. Rusty was a happy go lucky soul. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Collins, Sr. He leaves behind to cherish his memories , his wife and best friend, Michelle Collins; mother, Patricia Collins; brother, Jeffrey Collins; bonus kids, Magan Lee, Ashley (Jason) Freeman and Dustin Lee; grandchildren, Micah, Zachary, Kylah and Lanora; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and tons of friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 29 at Trinity Funeral Services in Lumberton with a chapel service to take place at 2 pm followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance. Rusty would advise everyone to dress comfortably in the most appropriate T-shirt that you would be comfortable being seen in public. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to help offset funeral expenses. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the Collins family during this difficult time and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
