Kelli Leann Pelman

June 22, 1977 — June 26, 2021

Gulfport, MS

Kelli Leann Pelman passed away Saturday morning, June 26th at Singing River Hospital in Gulfport, just four days after her 44th birthday. She was the youngest of two daughters, born June 22, 1977 in Gulfport to Philip, Jr. and Shirley May (Woodcock) Pelman. She grew up in Gulfport, spending lots of time playing with her sister, both indoors and out. Yes they had their dolls and other girly things, but they also enjoyed the outdoors too, building forts and playing softball. Kelli played outfield in the rec leagues in Gulfport for several years. She also loved roller skating, becoming quite accomplished at it over the years. If she wasn't playing ball, you could normally find her at Fun World skating with her friends. Kelli obtained her GED and went to work at Sonic. She started off as a carhop, working her way up to manager at one time. In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting the casinos and playing the slots. Kelli had her own "system", coming out ahead more often than not. She is remembered as a sweet, precious daughter and mom. Giving, kind-hearted and fun were just a couple of the many words used to describe Kelli. Her daughters both say she was their best friend and was always there when they needed her, no matter what it was. While she wasn't a member of any church, Kelli was a believer that read and studied her Bible often. Though she leaves her family far too soon, she will be forever cherished in their hearts and minds. Kelli was preceded by her mother, Shirley May Woodcock Pelman. Left to cherish all the fond memories are her two daughters: Whitney (Misael) Mendez of Pascagoula and Madison Goss of Gulfport, with her son Logan Mattia of Jacksonville, FL; her father Phil (Rachel) Pelman of Gulfport, and her sister, Becky Rhodes of Saucier. Kelli leaves a legacy of three grandchildren: Alex, Ian and Adrian, all of Pascagoula, a nephew Chance Rhodes of Saucier, and a niece, Taylor Rhodes of Gulfport, along with many extended family and friends through the years. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Pelman family in their time of need and will host private services for Kelli at their wish. She will be laid to rest in the Beulah Church Cemetery in Gulfport following the services. In lieu of floral arrangements, please consider a donation to assist the family with funeral expenses. Please keep her entire family in your thoughts and prayers through this unexpected and difficult time.
