Ms. Kathy Sue McDaniel, 48 of Wiggins, passed away on Friday, April 14th. Kathy was born March 4, 1969 in Monroe, LA, the 3rd of 4 children, and the youngest daughter to Calvin Jay and Dollie Louise Stowe. She grew up in Louisiana, and became quite the adventurous young lady. Her and her sisters would build forts in the cane fields and woods, and grew to love the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, hunting, mechanic work, and even playing tackle football. Her sisters say she was 100% tomboy, and loved anything rough. Kathy especially enjoyed the rustic, simple life, as well being with her family. She loved taking roadtrips with her sisters, and adored her nephews and nieces. As kids, Kathy was very tight with Rebecca and Melvin. Their mom recalls them as "thick as thieves", and swears they could read each other's minds. Kathy was a loving and spontaneous woman with a huge and wonderful heart. It broke her heart that she could not be the mother she both wanted and needed to be for her children. She will be remembered as an "all of the above" daughter and sister, and an adventurous spirit that will be missed by all who knew truly her. She is survived by her three children, Joshua and Steven McDaniel, both of Wiggins, and Justin Prisock of Poplarville; her siblings, sisters Wendy Outlaw of Wiggins, and Rebecca Ward (Anthony) of Perkinston; and one brother, Melvin Alesich of Wiggins; her mother and adoptive daddy, Dollie & Samuel Alesich of Wiggins; 3 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Mr. Joe Dixon of Perkinston. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Jay Stowe. Kathy will be cremated, and her family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the McDaniel family, and asks that you keep them lifted up in prayer during this difficult time.
