Karen Jean Shaw

Karen Jean Shaw, 67, passed away on February 10, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born on August 26, 1956, in Austin, Texas to the late Malion Vaughn and Irma Jean Mitchell. Karen passed just the way she wanted - surrounded by her family and friends, celebrating her life as they bid farewell. To prepare for this time she had her loving daughter-in-law, Kahley, and three of her grandkids to help her. She was a very witty, charismatic, happy and extremely loving lady. Her whole heart was always filled with the love she had for her husband of 40 wonderful years, along with her children and grandchildren. She loved playing wahoo, watching her roses and orchids grow, going for rides on the boat along the river and just enjoying as much of her time with her family as she possibly could. With her entire family, she was complete. She is now our angel to watch over us as she joined her mama, Irma Jean as well as her family and friends welcoming her to a spirited game of wahoo in the next life. Karen Shaw is preceded by her father, Malion Vaughn; mother, Irma Jean Holden Mitchell; sisters, Sheila Floyd and Pam Fox. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Carl Shaw; brothers, Joey Vaughn and David Vaughn; sisters, Anita Trotter, Susan Rone, and Sherry Blaine; sons, William (Kelley) Smith Jr, Brian Davis, Joseph Shaw; grandchildren, Timothy Paul Chiasson, William Smith III, Zachary Davis, Christian (Reagan) Smith, Savanna Smith and Mystika Davis; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Chiasson, Aubrey Ladnier, and Elijah Smith. There will be a visitation at Trinity Funeral Services Mchenry on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 12:00PM - 2:00PM with a service to follow.
