Karen Kathleen Herrin

Karen Kathleen Herrin, 76, of Lumberton, MS, passed away on September 7, 2025, in the comfort of her home. Karen was born on April 4, 1949, to her parents, Howard and Francis Griffin. Karen worked for Stone County Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist for over twenty years before retiring. She was head of the department and was the one person they knew they could call to fix the blood gas machine, no matter how many times she had taught someone else how to do it. She was kind and compassionate and loved taking care of people. After retirement, she hit the road with her husband, Gary, and followed him all over while he worked various construction jobs. Karen loved her family and will always be remembered as a loving mother to her boys. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Herrin, Sr.; two sons, Adam and Andrew Herrin; and her parents, Howard and Francis Griffin. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Gary (Beth) Herrin, Jr., and Chris Herrin.
