Karen Lynette Cospelich, born on March 20, 1955, in Florida, peacefully passed away on May 8, 2026, in Mississippi. She lived a life marked by love, dedication, and an enduring spirit that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Karen was the cherished daughter of the late Jack Rodgers and Virginia Adams Mergendahl. She was the beloved wife of Fred “Monkey” Cospelich, who preceded her in death. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is lovingly survived by her children: Jason Cospelich and his wife Lorie, Jennifer Woodard and her husband Bratley, and David Cospelich and his wife Gretchen. Karen’s legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren: Jaxon Cospelich, Kaleb Woodard and his wife Karlee, Madison Woodard, and Raven Fuller and her husband Justice. She was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Rylen McKenna, who brought immense joy to her life.
Karen’s siblings also survive her: her brother Keith Rodgers and his wife Melissa, and her sister Tricia Hodge. Together, they upheld the bonds of family and support that were so dear to Karen throughout her life.
Karen Lynette Cospelich will be remembered not only for her strength and warmth but also for the deep connections she fostered with those around her. Her memory will be honored by all whose lives she touched, reflecting the grace and kindness that defined her existence.
