Mrs. Judith Faye Lizana

Mrs. Judy F. Lizana, 64 of Saucier, passed away Friday evening at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Judy was born January 29, 1954 in Biloxi, the 3rd of 5 children to Juanita and Marvin Royals. She grew up in the Lizana community, a true country girl at heart. Judy loved to sing from an early age, especially gospel music, and she loved to cook as well. She became quite accomplished at both, and carried them through her life. Judy started her family at a young age, and was a natural mother from the start. She cared and provided for her children, as well as their friends, neighbors, and many more. She eventually married her childhood sweetheart, Harold "Peanut" Lizana, and they lived in Kentucky for a while. While there, they were founding members of Fuller Ridge Community Church, where they enjoyed ministering through singing. They returned to South MS, and had recently moved to Saucier. Judy is referred to as the "backbone" of the family, and called "the Rock" that kept it all together. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, and devoted wife, she will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Judy was preceded by her mother, Jaunita Cuevas; father Marvin Royals; a sister, Carolyn Seal, and a brother, Charlie Royals. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Harold "Peanut" Lizana; children, sons Randy and Nick Hariel, both of Saucier, Veronica Dedeaux (Brian Northrup) of Lizana, Paula (Carol) Chaisson of Thibodeaux, LA, and Tammy (Chad) Sapia of Lockport, LA; her sisters, Denise Woodcock of the Dedeaux community, and Cindy (Renee) Darby of Lizana; eleven grand and great-grandchildren: Ross, Allison, Lil Paul, Dillon, Seth, Sage, Sawyer, Briella, Kolt, Adalyn, and Addy Rose, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM on Wednesday morning, August 29, 2018, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. A chapel service will begin at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at Wolf River Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Lizana family, and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during such a difficult time.
