Juanita (Creech) Bull

Bessie Juanita Bull, 83 of Wiggins, passed away Thursday evening, March 19th at St. Joseph Hospice in Gulfport. She was born March 8, 1937 in Vanleer, TN., one of twelve and daughter of Grady Thomas & Ruth Agusta (Mathis) Creech. She grew up in Vanleer, part of a large family in a rural area of Northern Tennessee. She wasn't particularly fond of her first name, preferring to be called Juanita. She had an adventurous, free-spirited nature about her. The young boy that lived across the street was somewhat fond of her, but she didn't respond as he would have liked early on. Juanita often told her kids of how she would throw rocks at him when they were kids. But that young man was Emmett Bull and his persistence won out eventually. The couple eloped when she was just 16, making their home in Detroit, Michigan where they both went to work in the auto industry. Some years later, they moved the family to Long Beach, MS where Juanita became a member of the Ladies Auxiliary #5931. Her and Emmett were originally co-owners of The Fox's Den, eventually owning and operating it herself for over 30 years. Juanita was a fun loving woman that made friends far and wide. She was a great cook, making the best pot of Great Northern beans to be found, feeding veterans and others through the Auxiliary. Funny and feisty are just a couple of the words used to describe this loving sister, wife, mother and friend. She will no doubt be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life she touched. Juanita was preceded by her parents, Grady & Ruth Creech; siblings Jean Reagan, O'Neal Creech, Katherine Bazzle, Ward Creech, Earnest Creech, Jimmy Creech, Gordon Creech and Charlie Creech. Left to cherish her memories are: daughters Pam Niemac of Livona, MI and Sheron Weiss of Wiggins, MS, and sons Kenneth Bull of Perkinston and Scott (Vanessa) Bull of Wiggins. Juanita leaves a legacy of twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grands, so many nieces, nephews and extended that we couldn't count them, and untold numbers of friends and neighbors from Michigan to Mississippi. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A memorial service has been set for Friday, July 10, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Friends are encouraged to come celebrate her life with the family. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bull family in their time of need.
