Joye Ann Lott, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on May 20, 2026, in Saucier, Mississippi. Born on July 21, 1944, in Biloxi, MS, Joye lived a life marked by compassion, faith, and service.
A graduate of Biloxi High School’s class of 1962, Joye embarked on a lifelong journey of work and care that touched countless lives. Throughout her life, she held various service-oriented roles, from grocery stores to hospitals, always embracing opportunities to assist those in need. She was most proud running the thrift store at Saucier United Methodist Church and where she also distributed food through the church’s pantry. Her dedication to these acts of kindness exemplified her deeply held belief in the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It was this ethic that truly set her apart as one of a kind—a devoted servant to both her family and community.
Joye was more than a helper; she was a vibrant, outgoing individual with a unique style that was reflected in her love of wearing makeup, a part of her daily life no matter the occasion—even going fishing. Her lively spirit and warm heart made her a pillar among those who knew her. She took great pride in her faith in The Lord, nurturing a community of love and support through her church and family. Her proudest accomplishments being the strong family she built and cared for with boundless devotion. Joye Ann Lott’s life was a testament to the power of kindness, faith, and family. She was always there for those she loved, ready to move heaven and earth in their service.
Joye is preceded in death by her parents, James and Clarice Gannon; her son Bobby Bond; and nephews Michael William Thigpen Hosey and Christopher J. Gannon. Their memories are carried forward by all who loved her. She is survived by Bruce O. with Melissa Seymour (son), Tina Robbins (daughter), Jimmy Lee Bond (son), Judi with Bill Hosey (sister), Pat with Janett Gannon (brother), Tara Blythe (granddaughter), Aaron Seymour (grandson), Jennifer Williams (granddaughter), Candice Smith (granddaughter), Justin Bond (grandson), J.R. Bond (grandson), Christian Bond (grandson), Bradley Bond (grandson), Lee Jr. (grandson), Ava Seymour (great-granddaughter), Hunter Seymour (great-grandson), Savannah Schonewitz (great-granddaughter), Jordan with Austin McDaniel (great-granddaughter), River Schonewitz (great-grandson), Waylon McDaniel (great-great-grandson), Tina Herbert (niece), Dana with Steve Nagel (niece), Matthew with Elizabeth Hosey (niece), Christa with Derek Brignac (niece), Angela with Corey Hall (great-niece), Rachel with John (great-niece), Dillon Nagel (great-nephew), Kayla Nagel (great-niece), Evelyn Hosey (great-niece), Cohen Hosey (great-nephew), Ryker Brignac (great-nephew), Remi Brignac (great-nephew), along with many other extended family members that she cherished deeply.
Those wishing to honor Joye’s memory may visit Saucier United Methodist Church at 24135 Church Avenue in Saucier, MS, for visitation on June 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Later that day, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., a graveside service will be held at Hosey Cemetery on Broadus Road in Perkinston, MS. Her legacy of selflessness and love will remain an enduring beacon in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
