Mr. John Edwin Krecker, 78 of Wiggins, passed away Tuesday evening. Edwin was born Dec. 7, 1940 in Browns Mills, NJ, the only child of John Edwin & Elizabeth (Shuster) Krecker, Sr. He grew up in the area, and attended Pemberton Township High School. After graduating, he joined the US Navy where he served honorably during Vietnam. After 8 years of military service, Edwin worked as a merchant marine before securing a job at Ingall's in Pascagoula as a welder / electrician. Later, he went back to school and became a paramedic, and spent the next 19 years working for Amserve and Mobile Medic on the coast until his retirement. He is remembered as a "character" by most everyone who truly knew him. A loving father and grandfather with a unique sense of humor, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Edwin was preceded by his parents, and one son, John Earl Krecker. Left to cherish his memories are: his children, daughters Valerie Krecker and Victoria Krecker-Stewart, both of Lucedale; his sons, Jason Edward Krecker of Wiggins, James Edwin Krecker of AR, and Charles B. Coleman (Carolyn Everhart), also of Wiggins. He leaves eighteen grandchildren, three great-grands, and untold numbers of friends, co-workers, and patients he cared for over the years. Edwin's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A memorial service may be scheduled at a later date. Trinity Funeral Service is honored to serve the Krecker family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
