Perkinston

John Robert "Jack" Lytton, a cherished husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, left this world on March 16, 2025, at the age of 81 in Perkinston, Mississippi. Born on December 8, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, Jack grew up with a sense of duty and a spirit of adventure that would define his life. A proud graduate of Washington Courthouse High School in Ohio, Jack's thirst for knowledge led him to Bowling Green University. His path, however, took a valiant turn when he enlisted in the United States Navy. Serving diligently for over 30 years, he attained the highest enlisted rank and retired with honor as a Lt. Commander—a testimony to his unwavering commitment and valor. Jack had an abiding love for the outdoors; fishing and playing golf were among his favorite pursuits. These pastimes brought tranquility to his vibrant life, offering moments of reflection and joy even after he could no longer partake in them as he once did. Jack's life was a remarkable journey of service, love, and dedication. His presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Rose, whose memory remained a guiding light in his life. He is survived by his wife, Linda Marie Lytton, to whom he was married for almost forty wonderful years; his sister, Jo Ellen (Mike) Turner; his loving sons, John (Leighann) Lytton, James (Lynn) Lytton, and Jason (Melissa) Rose; his grandchildren, Ryan Hudson, Christopher Lytton, Colt Lytton, Cody Lytton, Haley Rose, Grant Rose, Aiden Rose, and Clayton Rose; his great-grandchildren Brentley Moyers and Grayson Rose; and his brother-in-law, John (Linda) Litton. Jack will be interred at the Biloxi National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11:00 am.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Lytton family in their time of need and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
