John Allen Grooms

John Allen Grooms, of Gulfport, MS, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023, from long term health complications. He was born in the same town on July 19, 1978, and thus his life came full circle. He completed his education at Harrison Central High School, displaying his talents and beginning his journey. John then went on to use his skills as an HVAC technician at Miller Ice Service for several years. Family and friends knew him as a friendly and gentle individual. He was always surrounded by people who loved and admired him, a testament to his kind-hearted nature. John had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found by the side of a lake, fishing rod in hand, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of nature. He will be dearly missed, always remembered, and forever in our hearts.  John is preceded by his infant daughter, Natalie Grooms and father, Ricky Grooms. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Nyla Grooms, and their three children, Raymond, Alyn Clay, and Mia Rose Grooms. He is also survived by his mother, Peggy (CA Sonny) McBride; two sisters, Leslie (Joey) Roberts, and Nanette Scalici; and brother, Barry McBride. His brother-in-law, John White, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at a later date provided by the family. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve John’s family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
