Jimmy Hartman

Jimmy Wayne Hartman, a loving father, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2023, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Jimmy was born in Timpson, Texas on October 2, 1952, to parents James and Pearl Hartman. His humble nature and relentless dedication will be remembered by all those who were privileged to work with him. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering that led Jimmy to a fruitful career with NASA, where he diligently served for over 15 years before his retirement in the early 2000s. Away from his professional obligations, Jimmy was a countryman who found immense thrill in hunting, fishing, and raising dogs for hunting. His love for the great outdoors was only matched by his love for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jimmy is preceded by his parents James and Pearl Hartman, his beloved wife Ruth, and his precious daughter Jessica Rae. He is survived by his son, Justin, to whom his legacy of love and kindness continues. Jimmy's life was a testament to the love, kindness, and thoughtfulness that defined every aspect of his character.
