Lumberton

Jimmie Earl Beard, Jr., 43 of Baxterville, passed away January 5th, 2025 in Macon, GA from injuries he sustained in a terrible traffic accident. Jimmie was born September 29, 1981 in Hattiesburg, the son of Jimmie E. Sr. and Alice (Quave) Beard. He grew up in the Baxterville area where he enjoyed playing hide and seek with his sisters, and fishing with his Pawpaw. Following his educational pursuits, Jimmie went to work setting up and remodeling retail stores. He enjoyed travelling, so that was right up his alley as they say. Jimmie worked for Done Right Merchandise and some other companies where he was a supervisor, travelling to many states including Hawaii, remodeling or setting up new retail stores. When he wasn't on the road working, he loved being around his family and friends. Jimmie will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and a trusted friend. He was the selfless type, one who would readily give you the shirt off his back, always looking out for the needs of others. If there was something you needed and Jimmie knew about it, he would make it happen without thinking twice about it. That is just who he was and exactly what happened in this terrible accident, sacrificing himself for a child in the back seat with him. Jimmie's life and legacy will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his grandparents, Billy and Jeanette Miller, and his parents, Jimmie E. Sr. and Alice (Quave) Beard. Left to cherish his memories are his three sisters: Tommie Jo Mosley, Christy Beard, and Alice Pigott, along with numerous extended family members, and countless friends made over the years. Jimmie's final wishes were to be cremated and interred with his parents in the Baxterville Cemetery, which his family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Beard family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
