Jessica Mae (Winkles) Necaise

October 9, 1977 — December 4, 2020

Lizana, MS

Jessica Mae Necaise, a loving, tell-it-like-it-is wife, mother and friend, passed away Dec. 4th at Singing River Hospital in Gulfport after a lengthy illness. She was born October 9, 1977 in Clattsburg, NY, the oldest of seven children to David Leon and Susan (Yarborough) Winkles. Though she has lived in several places while her father served in the USAF, Jessica grew up in Bay St. Louis for the most part. She obtained her GED and attended Virginia Technical College in Biloxi, working as a nurses assistant for several years. Eventually she transitioned into security in the casinos, spending the last part of her career at Boomtown in surveillance. Jessica is lovingly remembered as an unfiltered, selfless woman that really didn't know how to hold her tongue. She always spoke her mind, leaving no doubt as to where she stood on anything. She was a loving wife and a great mother that did her best to keep her boys in line. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and when you were with Jessica, there was never a dull moment. A Christian by faith, it showed in her life as she cared more for others and was willing to help anyone. Like everyone though, Jessica did have her faults. Her biggest...she was never, and we mean never, on time for anything. She also never met a stranger, eager and willing to talk to anyone about almost anything. She definitely departs this life way too soon, but will no doubt be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her paternal grandmother, Betty Furr, her maternal grandfather, Robert Yarborough, and her mother and father in-laws, Ezell & Helen (Northrup) Necaise. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband of 15 years, Keith; two sons, Sean and Michael Necaise and two step-sons to boot, Heath (Jennifer) Necaise and Durante (Kristina) Necaise; her parents, David and Susan Winkles of Bay St. Louis; six siblings: Catherine (Brandon) Hoyt, Danny and Christopher Winkles, all of Bay St. Louis, Sumer (Nathan) Wills of Gulfport, Brittany (Wade) Ashby of Kiln and David (Ashley) Winkles, Jr. of Pass Christian; her paternal grandfather, Danny Winkles of Port St. Lucia, FL and maternal grandmother Susan Conner of Bay St. Louis. Jessica leaves a legacy of four grandchildren, two great-grands and numerous extended family, friends, neighbors and God only knows how many folks she struck up conversation with through the years. Visitation is from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Thursday evening, Dec. 10, 2020 at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. A chapel service will begin at 10:00 AM Friday morning, also at Trinity, and Jessica will be laid to rest afterward at Wolf River Cemetery.
