Rev. Jerry Franklin Eastes

Rev. Jerry Franklin Eastes, age 78, walked with his savior Jesus Christ Friday, January 14, 2022. He was born September 11, 1943, in Marion, Indiana. he went halfway around the world to marry Lucia Pogay Tamosa Eastes on July 25, 1991. Jerry was in the US Navy in 1961, the year his wife was born. He was the jack of all trades, a mechanic, plumber, carpenter, and a preacher. He was a missionary to the Philippines for 10 years but returned to the US when his health started to decline. He was a pastor at Heritage Baptist Church in Woolmarket, then returned to McHenry to open a church at his residence. He fought with cancer for 15 years. He served the Lord God Jesus until he went home with his Savior. Jerry is survived by his wife, Lucia Pogay Tamosa Eastes; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Marjorie Ann Agripina Eastes (Reid Temple); and two grandchildren, Malachi Alexander Nielsen and Aurora Elizabeth Nielsen. Jerry is preceded by his father, Leroy Eastes, and his mother Marjorie Ann Marley.  Come join us for his honorary Christian memorial service at Temple Baptist Church, 14190 Dedeaux Rd Gulfport, MS; Pastor J Stephen Crane on the 26th of January 2022, at 7:00pm. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
