It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Jennifer Denise (Lizana) Hinton, age 60, a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mom, GiGi and friend to all whose lives she touched. She passed away at Garden Park Medical in Gulfport on December 21, 2019. The oldest of three, she was born on August 12, 1959 to Allen and Eula (Saucier) Lizana in Gulfport, MS. Jenny, as those near and dear to her called her, grew up in Lizana where she forged a bond with childhood friends that has not been broken. She met her husband while they were both working at MDOT. They knew they had something special from the beginning. They started dating, got married and the rest is history! Jenny loved to go on cruises with her besties. These women spent countless hours shopping, eating, getting pedicures and laughing away their troubles! She had a collection of shoes and purses that would make most woman jealous. She was a true southern belle, full of compassion and integrity. You always knew where you stood with her. There was no middle ground, just black or white. And she was adored by everyone…. Before retiring after 35 plus years, Jenny was the “go-to” gal for MDOT. Her children knew that she had their back, always making sure they had what they needed. Out of all of her titles, her favorite had to be, GiGi. She simply adored Brock and Paisley. Something about them made her eyes sparkle at the mention of their names. Jenny will be remembered as courageous throughout her fight against cancer. Never letting it define her nor ever giving up- she simply didn’t have give-up in her. She leaves behind beautiful memories for family and friends to hold onto in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Viren and Gertis Lizana and Wallace and Mag Saucier. She is survived by her husband, Larry Hinton; children, Nicholas and Taylor Hinton; parents, Allen and Eula Lizana; grandchildren, Brock Hinton and Paisley Walker; brothers, Timmy (Paula) and Scott (Cheryl) Lizana along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, December 28 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 11 to 12 with services at 12. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the Hinton family during this difficult time and ask that you keep them lifted up in your prayers.
