Jeffrey Lowell Korn, Sr., 65, of Biloxi, MS. passed away on April 09, 2023, surrounded by his family at home. Jeffrey was born on July 29, 1957, in Biloxi, to parents John Leonard and Mary Katherine (Anderson) Korn, Sr. Jeffrey was an avid hunter who loved being in the woods. Once that tailgate dropped, nothing in the world made him happier than hearing his dogs get after a deer. If you knew Jeffrey, then you knew there wasn't much he loved more than raising and training walker dogs. Once a year, he made sure to travel to West Virginia where he would visit extended family and make his annual hunting trip. He was a member of Krohn Hunting Club in Saucier, MS. where he spent much of his time hunting with buddies and sharing the love of hunting with his son, and his grandkids. Jeffrey attended school in D'Iberville, and it was there, in middle school, where he would meet Jayne Stein. Jeffrey and Jayne would later marry, spending forty-eight years raising their family in Biloxi. In December of 2019, Jeffrey received a cancer diagnosis that he would fight hard extending his time with those he loved, until his battle ended on April 9th. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be immensely missed. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (Anderson) Korn, Sr., and his twin sister, Jennifer Lynn Gill. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of forty-eight years, Jayne Korn of Biloxi, MS.; his three children, Jamie (Carl) Smith, Jodie (Dean) Hoehn, and Jeffrey (Madison) Korn, Jr. all of Biloxi, MS.; his grandchildren, Tommy Diffey, Averie Jayne Ellsberry, Tyler Smith, Sophia Jayne Korn, and Scarlett JoLynn Korn, all of Biloxi, MS.; one brother, Johnny (Karen) Korn of Biloxi; one sister Kim (Billy) Williams of Biloxi; and his two four-legged pals, Charlie and Lucy. Jeffrey leaves a legacy of numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, hunting buddies, and friends who all cherished their time spent with him. A memorial service for Jeffrey will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Humane Society of South MS in honor of Jeffrey and the love he had for all dogs. The family would like to thank Dr. Cory Carter and his staff for being so great to Jeffrey and his family throughout his battle with cancer. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Korn family during this time and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
