GULFPORT

Jeffrey Allen Bryan, 64, of Gulfport, Mississippi, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2020.  He is preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Dez T. Bryan, also a Veteran.  He is survived by his daughter Dixie Bryan, son Samuel Bond, daughter -in-law Brittany Datz, grandchildren Lila Bond and Avery Bond, siblings, many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.  Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, honorably discharged.  He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, brother, friend, American Patriot, Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, employee, and proud member of the American Legion.  He was graciously given an honorary Doctorate degree and was an ordained minister who shared God’s love through serving others.  He loved to sing and play classic country, gospel and southern rock music on the guitar.  He also enjoyed reading and sharing lessons he learned from his King James Version Bible and life experiences.  He never met a stranger, often using comedy to brighten someone’s day and helping those in need, especially the homeless.  He enjoyed his employment as a bridge attendant and his favorite hobby was fishing on the lake.  A favorite song of his was “Amazing Grace,” sung by Alan Jackson.  No public memorial service is planned.

“Here Lies a Man Who Tried.”
