Jeffrey Wayne Beaver, (Jeff), a resident of Perkinston, MS went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, March 9, 2020 surrounded by family who will hold his memory in their hearts forever. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Larry and Judy Beaver, father in law and mother in law, Jerry and Patsy Malley Holley, nephew Justin Holley and a very special aunt and uncle, Kathrine Ladner and Francis Malley. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife and best friend of 23 years, Sue Holley Beaver, children, Rick (Tonya) Davis, Rusty (Tara) Davis, Laci, Celina, Joseph, Gabriel and Christopher; grandchildren: Destiney (Thatcher), Caleb, Shelby, Sydney, Kaleb, Keaton, Haley (Josh), Loren, Brody and Amber; great grandchildren Kaiden, Aybri, Jennings, Riley and Addy; his sisters Patricia Beaver and Debra (Jamil) Shipp, and our adopted by heart son, Ben Carpenter.
Jeff was a member of the Baptist faith at The Beginnings Baptist Church in Poplarville and no matter what kind of day he was having, his faith was always shining through. He loved to sing and was a part of a Praise Team. Jeff was a man of very few words but when it came to his love for his family and his Lord and Savior, he would talk forever. Even after he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, give him a minute to get his thoughts together and he was going to tell you about how good his God was, how we should all let God control our lives and how much he loved each of us. Jeff was born in Strasbourg, France on March 10, 1964, graduated from Marcus Whitman Central in Rushville, New York and served two years in the Army National Guard. Jeff worked in construction his entire life, working his way up from a laborer to a superintendent for the last 20 years. Even though he was over a crew, he would wear his tool belt and work side by side with his team. He always gave his crew the same respect he wanted. Jeff was never known to ask anyone to do anything he would not do. Many stories have been shared by those who worked with Jeff and the impact he made on so many people, not only in construction work but in their walk with the Lord.
Jeff’s passion in life was to encourage and help others, especially his family, friends, co-workers and his church. Jeff was a very loving, compassionate, kind and caring husband, Daddy, Papa, and friend. He was definitely blessed with a servant’s heart. He never hesitated when asked to help anyone…always willing to go that extra mile. He enjoyed helping with his children’s football, baseball and basketball teams as Assistant Coach and spent hours practicing with them or taking them fishing after a long day at work.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres…These words describe Jeff perfectly- A true legacy of love, respect and a heart for God is the best gift Jeff leaves us! Although quiet, those who knew Jeff loved him and he will be greatly missed.
