Jefferson Davis Shaw, 86, of Perkinston, entered his eternal rest while in the comfort of his home on September 21, 2024. J.D. as he was lovingly known his whole life, was born on October 17, 1937, to his parents Lennox and Kate (Cuevas) Shaw. A man who loved to travel, J.D. and his bride of sixty-eight years, explored the continent in their motor home, from Alaska to Maine and into Canada enjoying some of the finest seafood. J.D. was a Godly man who was a proud member of Crane Creek Baptist Church where he and his family served for many years. J.D. would retire in 2003 from the Naval CB Base as a Journeyman Lineman after sixty-five years. He was a proud member of the Local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #903 where he received several pins over his sixty-five years of devoted service. In May of 1956, J.D. married the love of his life, Miss Frankie Ferguson, and together they raised their family in the Crane Creek Community for sixty-eight years. J.D. was a wonderful and proud husband, father, and grandfather who was a faithful provider to them all. J.D. loved hunting and fishing and being in the great outdoors. J.D. will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lennox and Kate Shaw, and one sister Glorine Shaw Wilson. Left to cherish his memory, J.D.'s loving wife, Frankie Jane Shaw; his three sons, Kent (Shirley) Shaw, Chester (Larisa) Shaw, and David (Amy) Shaw; five grandchildren, Daven (Daniel) Blackmon, Clay (Holly) Shaw, Kristen (Brent) Schroder, Michael Shaw, and Adam Shaw; seven great-grandchildren, Cladrian (Cody) Fairchild, Brogan, Samuel, Braden, Easton, Skyler, and Kassidy; four great-great-grandchildren, Khalden, Tynslee, Fischer, and Kentley Fairchild; two brothers, Jeffrey (Tanya) Shaw and Milton Shaw; three sisters, Betty Shaw, Janice (Larry) Dedeaux, and Cecelia "Dot" Shaw.
