Jeanne Marie Oestereich

Jeanne Marie (Lorio) Oestereich, 61, of Saucier, MS., passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. Born on March 18, 1965, to her parents, Wendell and Juanita (Bozeman) Lorio, in New Orleans, LA., Jeanne was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and friend, remembered fondly by everyone whose lives she touched.

Jeanne’s life was marked by her unwavering generosity and open-hearted nature. She was known for always keeping her home and heart open to others, embodying the spirit of giving in everything she did. Her sense of devotion extended far beyond her family and friends—her deep faith as a devout Catholic was a pillar of strength throughout her life.

Jeanne was an incredibly hard worker, always ensuring that her family was well cared for under any circumstance. No matter the challenges that came her way, Jeanne found a way to “make it happen,” serving as a shining example of perseverance, determination, and unconditional love for her children. Her tireless efforts and steadfast reliability inspired those around her, particularly her children, who benefitted from her guidance, warmth, and wisdom throughout their lives.

Jeanne enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She found comfort and joy in classic television shows, and her love of music spanned from classic rock to Nickelback—reflecting her vibrant, yet peaceful, outlook. There was a sweetness and simplicity about Jeanne that made her both approachable and dearly cherished by all who knew her. 

Jeanne leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, hard work, and love. She was truly an example to her “kiddos” and all those fortunate enough to know her.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, William Oestereich; and her father, Wendell Lorio.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Haley (Kevin) Skaines and Cody (Kaylee) Ledford; her five cherished grandchildren; Kaylie Lee, Ava Skaines, Scarlet Skaines, Haidyn Ledford, and Apollo Ledford; her mother, Juanita Lorio; her five siblings; Joe (Dianna) Lorio, Vickie (Tim) Mattei, Yvette (Greg) Taylor, Wade Lorio, and Dwayne Lorio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who's life she touched.

Her memory will be treasured, and her influence felt for generations to come. Services for Jeanne will be held at a later date provided by the family.
