Jay Alan Agard

Mr. Jay Alan Agard, 69 of Gulfport, passed away April 23rd at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Jay was born November 23, 1949 in Gulfport, the son of Theda (Pierce) and Bill Gillespie. He grew up in several different places around the country, part of a USAF family. He returned to Gulfport as a teenager, graduating from Gulfport High School. Jay worked in several different fields in his life, and had worked security for the past several years. He was a reserved, quiet man that kept to himself mostly. Jay never married, and spent several years caring for his mother in her later years. He is remembered as a loving, caring son and brother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents, Jack Agard and Theda Pierce. Left to cherish his memories are his sisters: Barbara Whitten of Gulfport, Sharon (Curtis) Rouse of Mobile, AL, and Jackie Rosener of KY. Jay's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring.
