Ms. Janet Parker Moran

Ms. Janet Marie (Parker) Moran, 66 of Wallace, NC and originally from McHenry, MS, passed peacefully with her family by her side Tuesday, March 12th in Wilmington. Janet was born September 24, 1952 in South MS, the daughter of Brisco & Joyce Parker, Sr. She was a graduate of Stone High school and Miss Gulf Coast Community College. Janet was a homemaker and worked in home health. She was also an avid reader, gardener, and one of her greatest joys in life was cooking for her family. Janet was well known to be a competitive scrabble player, and enjoyed many marathons with her sisters. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to all of her family, she will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Brisco Sr and Joyce Parker. Left to cherish her memories are her "Pride and Joy", her children: Kelly (Chris) Dale of Wallace, NC, Karen (Anthony) Bryans of Columbus, Ga, Steven Rodrick of Biloxi, MS, and Jason (Ivon) Rodrick of Fort Drum, NY; eight beautiful grandchildren: Kaleb Dale, Nathan Dale, Caden Bryans, Ethan Bryans, Megan Rodrick, Macy Rodrick, Kenzie Price and Isabella Rodrick; her siblings: Cheryl Vreeland of Pelham, AL, Myra Wiggins of Gulfport, MS, J.W. (Wanda) Parker, William Parker, and Ervin Parker, all of McHenry, MS, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Her family would like to thank Well Care Home Health, New Hanover Regional Hospital in Wilmington, NC, Davita Dialysis of Wallace, NC, and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC, for taking such great care of our mother. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday March 16, 2019 at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, beginning at 1:00 PM. A chapel service has been set for 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at McHenry Gardens Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Moran family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
