James Lee Allen

James Lee Allen, 66 years old, passed away on September 8, 2024. Born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, James Lee was a devoted husband to his wife of 43 years, Patricia, and a cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a proud father to his children, always providing support, love, and guidance to his family. As a young man, James Lee enjoyed playing in softball tournaments with his friends and family, a passion that reflected his love for sports and camaraderie. He carried that same enthusiasm into his later years, embracing life with family and friends. Whether it was camping trips, boating, vacations, or a cookout, James Lee always found joy in being with the people he loved. He is preceded by his parents, Lawrence and Lettie Purifoy Allen; two siblings, Lorraine Jones and Judy Powell. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Patricia Necaise Allen; his children, Natalie Lashee Allen and James "Lee" Allen II; siblings, Margaret (Randy) Dake, Lawrence Allen, David Allen; along with one grandson, Hunter Michael Mate and one great-grandson, Michael Allen Mate; and many extended family members and friends who will miss his warmth, laughter, and gentle spirit. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Details of the celebration will be shared privately with loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in James Lee's memory and the special bond that he shared with his dog, Bentley, who passed away shortly before him to the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
