It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Patrick Huber, who returned home on December 19th, 2024, at the early age of 34. James, affectionately known as Pat, JP, and Patty Cakes, was born on August 29th, 1990, in Gulfport Mississippi. His arrival blessed his mother with knowing true love for the first time. Growing up in Orange Grove, Saucier, and Lizana, Patrick spent a lot of time outdoors as any country born kid would. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school Pat not only loved mathematics, but he was also good at it. After proudly obtaining his diploma, he pursued apprenticeships with Ingalls and Branch Electric. Becoming a skilled aluminum welder was something he was immensely proud of, to him it was not only a job but a showcase of his meticulous skill and dedication. Beyond his professional life, JP was a man of many interests. Those who were truly fortunate to know Pat knew he was an old soul with a unique intellect, as he had a mind without borders. He was often inspired by music but, not known to many, he also artistically expressed himself through writing and drawing. Faith was deeply instilled in his heart, and scripture was something he would turn to not only when life would throw heavy punches, but for his own fulfillment as well. Woodworking and anything requiring him to work with his hands would also become hobbies he enjoyed. Patrick had a deep love for his family and extended that same affection to his close friends and their families. He yearned for a wholeness and belonging through the purity of love that only a sense of family, blood or otherwise, could give. Such was found when his true passion in life was ignited, becoming a father. Patrick loved his daughters deeply beyond what words could ever measure, this was something he always wanted his girls to know. Patrick or Patty Cakes, will lovingly be remembered as: The person whose sense of humor was unmatched, as he could make the crankiest of people laugh and smile; the goofball that had a way of fusing together moments of compassion, joy and laughter; a “tough” guy who lived his life fiercely and unapologetically with the biggest heart; a son of God that, until the end, loved hard and fought harder with his unwavering faith; and a man that will be deeply missed by many...but forgotten by none. Please Join us, not to tell him goodbye but, to tell him “See you later alligator”, for this is only the end in this life. Pat was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend; whose absence will echo for years to come. Patrick was preceded by: his father James M. Huber, his grandfather Fredrick Hoffman, grandmother Dorothy Isabelle Hoffman, and his sister, Sarah Brunner. Left to cherish the many wonderful memories he leaves are: his loving mother, Kathy Huber; the three daughters he loved so much: Alana Broadus, Aubreigh and Savanna Huber; his siblings: sisters Leah and Rebecca Brunner, Allison and Alexas Linsey, and brothers David, Jr. and Graham Linsey. JP leaves a legacy of numerous extended family members and a host of friends who are all saddened by his loss. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, with a true celebration of his life being planned for a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Huber family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them all in your prayers through this trying time.
