James Kenneth “ Ken” Head, Jr. passed away December 25, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Wiggins, MS. Ken was born in Lumberton on November 8th, 1983, to Kenny Head and Anita Barrett Head. For the majority of his life, he was brought up in Wiggins by Allen and Helen Fairley, where he attended the Stone County School system and later took part in several workshops after graduation from high school. He attended Lumberton United Methodist Church, where he was a member.
Ken was a fantastic artist and used his art to communicate his thoughts and feelings. He was passionate about traveling and loved trains, clocks, and 18 wheelers (he loved being taken for a ride by his uncle James). He loved exploring churches. He had a boundless curiosity about the world around him and was always up for an adventure.
He was much loved by all who knew him. Ken had wildly unique ideas, and sometimes they translated into outlandish mishaps…almost everyone who knew him probably has a hilarious “Ken story” that they will gladly share with you. He brought such joy and laughter to our lives, and he will be sorely missed.
Ken was proceeded in death by maternal grandparents Dela C. Barrett and Edna Earl Barrett; paternal grandparents James Head and Charlene Hodge; mother Anita Barrett Head; and his uncles James, Billy, D.C., and Joey Barrett. Left to cherish his memory are siblings Tammy Head, Tena Fairley, William and Kerri Fairley, and Katie Samudio; aunts and uncles Helen and Allen Fairley, Beth and Howard Coulter, Sharon Barrett, Clara and Ricky Gill, Wanda and Charles Sweeney, Phillip and Rhonda Barrett, and Richard and Cheryl Barrett. He will also be celebrated by his niece, Maggie and nephews Ezzar, Ethan, Christian, Jonah, and Ryan.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the family in their time of need and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
