James Dale Brown

Mr. James D. Brown, 67 of Perkinston, passed away at his home on Monday, June 17, 2019. James, or "Jimbo" as he was affectionately known by those closest to him, was born December 28, 1951, one of six children to Albert & Norvell (McDonald) Brown, Sr. Jimbo worked at the old Colonial Bakery in Gulfport. Further details are forthcoming. He was preceded by his wife, Linda Rettig; and a sister, Helen Brown. He was survived by his children, his son Stash (Samantha) Brown of WI, and a step-daughter, Angela (Leonard) Papania of Gulfport; his siblings, one sister, Flo (Jim) Timmons, and brothers Bobby (Judy), Billy (Margaret), and Tom (Liz) Brown; five grandchildren, Trinity, James, Nicholas, Bennett, and Rosemary, along with numerous extended family and friends. James' final wishes were to be cremated, which his family honored. Memorial services were held Saturday, June 22 at Gulf Haven Mennonite Church.
