Mr. James Obry Antee, 81 of Brandon, passed away Sunday morning at Jefferson Hills Nursing Center. James was born June 6, 1937 at his home on the Red River near Cloutierville, LA, one of six children to Wallace & Phyllis (McIlwain) Antee. He grew up between Cloutierville and Portland, OR, and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. James liked to read, and was fond of Louis L'amour and Western style authors. He made a career in construction, installing aluminum siding for many years. Work and family were his to hobbies, and if he wasn't working, he was with his family. He married Donna Prewitt in 1956, and they had two daughters. James is remembered as a loving, caring father and grandfather who was always there for his family. He will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Left to cherish his memories are: his children, Sonja Bullard and Linda Antee; 3 grandchildren: Michelle Sellers, Christi Roberts, and Zoe Flanagan, and four great-grands, Sydney, Aubrey, Analeigh, and Lexi; his sister, Viola, and brothers Ray & Wilford, with many neighbors and friends over the years. James was a reserved man, and did not wish for any fanfare at his passing. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep the Antee family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
