Jackie Davis Williams

Jackie Davis Williams was born November 26, 1952 in Picayune, MS.  On October 1, 2023, Jackie, aged 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

He was a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School (Class of 69) and attended Pearl River Community College (playing football at both PCHS and PRCC). Jackie achieved a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Mississippi State University. After college, Jackie started his career with Great Plains Western and made his way to Bass Pecan Co. before settling into a lifelong career as a loan officer with the United States Department of Agriculture where he retired after 37 years of service.

Jackie loved fishing with friends and family (especially with his fishing buddy David Smith) and was known to be quite the pool player in his day. He enjoyed tending his garden and loved to share the fruit of his labors with friends and neighbors. Under Beth’s tutelage, he became a master candy maker whose skills in rolling and dipping Martha Washingtons remains unmatched. Jackie took great pride in his family and felt that any time spent with his kids, grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, and extended family was time well spent. Above all else, Jackie will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and insistence on lending a helping hand.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents Jack Herman Williams and Lavonne Davis Williams and sister Ella (Brad) Green. Jackie is survived by his wife, Beth, and the following beloved family: sons Matthew (Robin) Williams and Mark Williams; stepdaughters Haley (Ben) Fancher and Chelsey Alexander; grandchildren Steven (Alley) Williams, Jonathan, Carter, and Matthew Willams (Matthew), Jackson and Julia (Mark) Williams, Beck and Lorelai (Haley) Fancher; great grandchildren Harvest and Honey (Steven) Williams; and siblings Jimmy (Wendy) Williams and Becky Barber. Trinity funeral services is honored to serve the Williams family and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during these difficult times.
