In loving memory of Jackie Ann Tallo

Jackie Ann Tallo, 79, of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, formerly of Illinois, passed away at her home on August 15, 2026.

Jackie was a woman whose life was defined by strength, grace, love and selflessness. Ther are truly no words that could ever fully capture who she was or the impact she has on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She was beautiful inside and out, with warmth that drew people to her and a heart big enough to make everyone around her feel loved.

Jackie never met a stranger. Her infectious laugh, warm smile, and kind spirit could light up and room she walked into. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, valued and cared for. Her strength and resilience were inspiring, and she faced life with grace and courage that her family will carry with them forever.

If there is one word that describes Jackie best, it is selfless. She spent her life putting the people she loved before herself, always giving, always caring, and always making sure everyone else was okay. Loving others came natural to her and she loved with her whole heart.

Her daughter Kathy was her best friend and her whole world. She loved her daughter with a love that was unwavering and unconditional. Her granddaughter, Nikki, was her pride and joy, as she would so proudly say. The bond they shared was incredibly special, filled with love and closeness that words can hardly describe. She loved her grandson, Austin dearly. He may have kept her on her toes from time to time, but she loved him with all her heart and cherished every moment they shared. They shared the same passion for guns, hunting and fishing. Her great-grandchildren; Acetin, Azlynn, Caroline and Brinnley, brought her immeasurable joy. She adored each of them and treasured every opportunity she had to spend time with them. They were a beautiful part of her world, and the love she had for them will continue to live on through the memories they made together.

Jackie’s family was her greatest treasure. The memories she created with them, the love she gave so freely, her laughter, her smile, and the countless little moments they shared will remain in their hearts forever. Though her absence leaves a tremendous emptiness, the love she gave will continue to live on through every person she touched.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Kathy Lafontaine; granddaughter, Nikki (Blake) White; grandson, Austin LaFontaine; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Acetin LaFontaine, Azlynn LaFontaine and their mother Ashley Hoda who has been part of the family for more than twelve years, and she loved Mrs. Jackie just as everyone else, Caroline LaFontaine and Brinnley White, and her sister-in-law; Norma Tallo.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mildred Tallo and beloved brother John Tallo II, who she loved so dearly.

Jackie will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but the love she gave so freely. Her strength, her grace, her laughter, her beautiful smile and her selfless heart will never be forgotten.

At Jackie’s request, she wished to be cremated, and her family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
