Jack Russell Davis, Jr., 53 of Saucier, who had struggled with cerebral palsy from birth, received a brand new body Tuesday morning, January 26th, 2021. Jack was the oldest of four children of Patsy Diane (Cuevas) Thompson and one of two in her marriage to Jack R. Davis, Sr. He was born July 7, 1967 in Independence, LA and grew up in Saucier. At birth, his life expectancy was a maximum of 21 years, but the love and care from his mother and family through the years allowed Jack to have a full life for almost fifty-four years. Spending most of those years in a wheelchair did not slow Jack down at all. He loved playing with his brother and sisters and going to the mud races growing up. Jack was a graduated with the Harrison Central Class of 1985, moving on to take computer courses at USM. He enjoyed playing games on his computer, but he also hunted, fished and whatever else he set his mind to. Jack attended Robinwood Baptist Church early on where he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was a faithful member there before moving to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church a short time ago. He is lovingly remembered as an outgoing, loving person, eager to share his Christian faith with anyone who would listen. A kind and generous person, Jack had a contagious laugh that will not soon be forgotten. He enjoyed telling stories and tales...and boy could he spin them as he loved to dream BIG! Though he will be missed by all who knew and loved him, the family is comforted in knowing that Jack is no longer confined to that chair but is running around heaven today! He was preceded by his maternal grandparents, Clayton & Irene Cuevas; one sister Robin Lundin, and his uncle, Rodney Cuevas. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving and devoted mother, Patsy Thompson; his sister Nancy Thompson and brother Lawrence Davis, both of Saucier; nephews Robert Lundin and his son, Rob Jr. of Gulfport, Daylon Dedeaux of Saucier, and his "neph-son" Connor (Shelby) Lundin, also of Saucier, along with a great niece Everly Claire and great nephew Tate Layne Lundin, an uncle Jimmy Cuevas, along with numerous extended family and friends through the years. The family has set a Celebration of Life for Jack for Saturday, February 13, 2021, 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with everyone who knew and loved Jack welcome to come. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Davis family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
