Isaac "Moe" Cox

February 20, 1955 — February 23, 2025

Saucier

Isaac Cox, 70, passed away February 23, 2025 in Gulfport, MS. He was born February 20, 1955 in Colquitt, GA, the seventh of eight children to David Nelson and Jimmie (Williams) Cox. He grew up there in Miller county on the family farm and thoroughly enjoyed the country farm life. Playing with siblings, raising livestock, peanuts, and other row crops were just the norm. When they weren't doing chores, swimming, fishing, and playing with their friends were among their favorite things to do. Isaac, or "Moe" as he was known to most everyone, enjoyed being a part of a large family, but he made friends very easily, and had many of them as well. He faced his share of challenges in life, meeting every one of them head-on and never letting them get him down. Moe grew up in church with his family and developed a deep faith in Christ early on. That faith molded his character and personality into one that exhibited many "fruits of the Spirit". His impact on all those who truly knew him will be a lasting testimony of his legacy. Moe will be forever loved and missed. He was preceded by his parents, Nelson and Jimmie (Williams) Cox, his sister Elaine Burdette and brothers David and Shelby Cox. Left to cherish his many fond memories are: brothers Bobby (Elaine) Cox of Saucier, Ray (Angie) Cox of Walls, and Tony Cox of Colquitt, GA, with his sister Patsy (Eddie) Truett of Hilton Head, SC; his brother-in-law Charlie Burdette and sister-in-law Linda Cox, along with numerous extended family and countless friends through the years. The family invites everyone to join them to celebrate Moe's life at Crosspoint Church in Gulfport on Friday, February 28, 2025 beginning at 10:30 AM, with Pastor Israel Cox officiating. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Cox family in their time of need and asks that you remember them all in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
