Howard R. Ladner, a man of generous spirit, selfless nature, and passionate dedication to his family and community, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Bedford Care Center in Picayune, MS. Born on June 2, 1943, in Bay St. Louis, MS, Howard's life was a testament to the enduring strength and love that marked his journey from his earliest days. A proud graduate of Hancock High School, class of 1961, Howard displayed an unwavering work ethic that led him to a successful career in the heating and air industry. Along with his brother, he co-owned H & J Sheet Metal, making a name for himself with his skillful hands and innovative mind. Later followed by a fulfilling stint at Ingalls where he retired before venturing into entrepreneurship with Ladners Heating and Air. Outside of work, Howard found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His passion for gardening was only matched by his love for tending to his cows. As an active member of the Knights of Columbus, he channeled his selflessness into acts of service, embodying the organization's tenets of charity and fraternity. Howard's sense of rhythm and love for dance saw him glide effortlessly from the two-step to the jitterbug, where he often stole the spotlight on the dance floor. Regular trips to the stockyard and auction were not just a hobby but a part of his weekly routine. He loved watching the local sports teams from the Alabama Crimson Tide's football team, to the Tennessee Volunteer's basketball team. Above all, Howard cherished his family, demonstrating boundless love and commitment.
