Gulfport, MS

Hilma Helen Lindsay, born on July 10, 1943, in Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her lifelong home in Gulfport on October 30, 2025. Hilma was a dedicated and loving individual whose life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to her family and her strong faith.

As a true homemaker, she took pride in creating a nurturing environment for her loved ones. Her outgoing personality, paired with her stern yet caring approach, allowed her to raise her children with love and discipline. Hilma's passion for family was evident in everything she did, particularly in her special role as a grandmother. She cherished the moments spent with her first grandson and grandbabies, reveling in their milestones and weaving her love into the fabric of their lives.

Hilma's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly the family she built and nurtured throughout her life. She dedicated herself to raising her children, Ray B. Lindsay, John C. Lindsay, and Karen Renee Hopper. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Michael Raymond Lindsay, Holly K. Lindsay, Jeffrey W. Lindsay, Jett Hoffman, Robby Lindsay, and Haley Lindsay all of whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her immediate family, Hilma is survived by her sister, Hilda Lindsay, who shared many fond memories with her over the years. She joins her deceased family members, including her mother, father, sister Dorris Davis, and brother Billy Ray Enroth, in eternal rest.

As a woman of deep faith, Hilma loved the Lord and maintained a strong sense of order in her household, ensuring that her family reflected the values she held dear. Her spirit and the love she embodied will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Lindsay family in their time of need and we ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
