Henry Harvey Bryant, Jr.

April 11, 1944 — January 11, 2023

Wiggins

Henry Harvey Bryant, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully January 11, 2023 at his home in Wiggins. He was born on April 11, 1944 in Gulfport, one of seven children to Henry Harvey, Sr. and Alice (Seals) Bryant. Henry grew up in the Bendale community where he stayed outdoors fishing and hunting as often as possible. He attended George County schools before entering the workforce. Henry married in the early 70s and made the family home in Gulfport. He sustained a serious back injury early on that left him disabled and unable to continue working. Henry is remembered as one that could be an "ornery old cuss" at times, but was a loving dad and trusted friend to many. He still enjoyed his fishing and hunting whenever able to get out and about, but spent a lot of his time watching old western shows and movies on television. Henry loved his family and enjoyed them around him as much as possible, especially those grandkids. He was his own person, and for that, he was loved deeply and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Henry was preceded by his parents, Henry and Alice Bryant, Sr.; one son, Scott Bryant; an infant daughter, Patsy Ann Bryant; and two of his siblings, Ida Hickman and Mark Bryant. Left to cherish his memories are: his children: Sara Moffett of Gulfport, Aletha Worthy (David Simpson) of Wiggins, Theresa Watson of Gulfport, Danny Bryant of Wiggins, and Cathy Bryant of Saucier; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Bryant, also of Saucier; his siblings: Mary Hickman of Saucier, John Bryant of KS, and his sister Betty. Henry leaves a legacy of fifteen grandchildren, five great-grands, and numerous extended family and friends. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, and will hold a celebration of his life at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bryant family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
