Harold Leslie "Herb" Ledford

June 25, 1967 — July 18, 2023

Harold Leslie Ledford, 56 of Wiggins, passed away on July 18, 2023, at Memorial Hospital of Stone County. He was born on June 25, 1967, in Senatobia, MS, one of six and a twin to parents Winston and Sandra (Cox) Ledford. Harold grew up in Senatobia and came to be known by most as Herb. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, which remained a lifelong hobby of his. Herb also enjoyed sports, going to the YMCA, and playing video games. He graduated from Hattiesburg High with the Class of 1985 and went to work at Roses. There he met Rebecca and the rest as they say, is history. They lived in Hattiesburg for several years, both working at USM before eventually moving to Stone County in the early 2000s and have called Wiggins home since. Herb worked in environmental services while at USM and stayed in that field the rest of his career. He is remembered as more of the quiet type but had his moments along as the way as well. Straight forward and to the point, he always told you what he thought. He loved to cut up and joke, pick back and forth, and play his games. Herb was a good friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his grandparents, Owner and Hazel Ledford. Left to cherish his memories are: his wife of twenty-nine years, Rebecca; their children: Rachel Ledford of McHenry, and Jacob Ledford of Wiggins; his mother Sandra Ledford of Marks, MS, his father Winston (Debbie) Ledford of Petal, and his siblings, his twin Lloyd (Kiera) Ledford, and brothers William Ledford, Greg (Crystal) Ledford, and Dominic Ledford, with one sister, Julie Ledford, along with numerous extended family and friends. Herb's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, with a celebration of his life to be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Ledford family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
