Gregory Arthur Hester, Sr.

Gregory Arthur Hester, Sr., 45 of Saucier and well known as "Scooby", passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 9th, 2023. He reunites with his mother and father, Pamela Diane Clark and Jimmy Ray Hester, Sr., and his beloved nephew, Jimmy Ray Hester, III. Gregory departs from his children: Caleb Tanner, Gregory, Jr., Destinee and Deziree Hester, his granddaughter Liliana Tanner, and his siblings: sisters Tina Trujillo and Dorothy Schmelzer, and his brothers, Jimmy, Jr., Mark, and Austin Hester. His 45 years of life were well spent with his family and friends, enjoying many days fishing, hunting, and making holidays hard to forget. His life, though cut tragically short, was a testament to the power of friendship and the strength of community. Greg was a man who lived life to the fullest, his heart as open as the Mississippi skies under which he was born and raised. His laughter was infectious and his heart knew no boundaries. For all that he was, Greg will forever be loved and sadly missed by all whose life he touched. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a chapel service at noon. Following the service, Greg will be laid to rest in the First Free Church of God Cemetery on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
